Caged dreams

I am totally in love with these Yves Saint Laurent Cage boots. I must admit, when i first spotted them i did find them a little strange, but the more i looked at them the greater my interest and love grew! I find the construction of the boot and it's heel simply beautiful and edgy...they could spice up any simple outfit and make a statement.
So i've been dreaming caged dreams for a while now, mainly because a) i adore them and b) i need a pair of sandle/boot type things to wear this spring and summer. I spend most of my time wearing flat ballerina pumps or shoe-boots, so i think these would make quite a nice change....and not just because they are one of the latest 'IT' shoes but because i think they do have a timeless quality to them, and so i can imagine wearing them season after season.

BUT.....there is a little problem. These beauties are priced at £905, and somehow i don't think my purse is going to agree with me in this current economic climate!

Blouson Chic

This Blouson Sleeve Blouse from Oli is my most recent purchase. I've been on the search for a pretty floaty blouse for a while now, but everything i came across either felt too cheap in material, did not have the right fit and detail....or alternatively was just too expensive! Now i've never actually purchased anything from Oli before, but decided to take the risk (even after reading many horror stories online!), since this blouse is exactly what i was looking for.

The blouse is more of a deeper ivory in real life, and the lace detail with trim and small buttons, really enhance it's simplicity and really gives off a comfortable vintage-ish feel. Oli's service was very good, and the blouse arrived within a day, so i may consider ordering from them again in the future. And as for the price, it's certainly a bargain at £25! I think i will be wearing this pretty little blouse quite abit! Fabulous for summer and oh so chic.

First post, second blog

Arrghh the dreaded first post! When it comes to starting a blog i think most people always post about how they have always wanted to blog, but never had the time, the inspiration etc etc Myself, however..as you may note from the title, is not new to the whole blogging thing.

My previous blog lasted over a year and focused on fashion, shopping and trends. It was a nice little blog, but somewhere along the line i got bored and just felt i wasn't spending enough time on it. Anyway, i wanted to go for a little change and so here i am! I hope to post at least once a day, and hopefully my styleholic ramblings will be of some interest to you!
