The perfect oversized clutch

Anyone who knows me well, can tell you how much of a handbag addict i am. Although i don't own alot of handbags, whatever i do buy has to fit into my style, as i intend to carry them season after season.

For a while now, i have been on the search for an oversized clutch that i can use during the day and when needed during the evening as well. For me clutches are just so elegant and feminine...there is something about them, that if carried during the day, they give a little edge to an outfit.

At one point, i was quite obsessed with the Fendi Whipstitch oversized clutch...unfortunately it was just too big and way too expensive! So since then my search has continued. That is until Mulberry came up with the answer!

Ever since i have laid eyes on the Mulberry Bayswater Clutch i've known it was the clutch for me! With it's simplicity, clean lines and size, it's the perfect oversized clutch to hold enough of my personal belongings (purse, mobile, ipod, perfume, notebook etc etc), yet not too big to carry. However the best thing about this clutch is that it comes with a hidden strap that can be easily attached for it to be transformed into a shoulder bag!

I do love the pink pictured above, and it would be pretty for summer, but i personally have my eye on the black cracked metallic leather version. I don't know about you, but having your bags and accessories in neutral colours just makes it easier to wear with any style of outfit.

Now i just need to get my hands on one.....

Effortless and chic

Some people love her style, and some people love to hate it. Sonam Kapoor, the style darling of Bollywood never fails to wow at events or in candids....and what wow's me even more is the fact that she doesn't have a stylist. It's all 'her'!

Last night (2nd June 09), the gorgeous Sonam and her co-star Imran Khan unveiled the latest issue of Filmfare, that features the charming two (naturally). As you can see, Sonam wore a navy silk jumpsuit, acessorised with a quirky owl necklace, beautiful antique gold jewellery and a statement oversized snakeskin clutch.

As usual, Sonam's outfit is being discussed to great depths around the web...some love it, some hate it...but i *adore* it! I've been a fan of Sonam's style ever since her first appearence during the promotions of Saawariya, and since then...till now, and with all the editorials thrown in. I must say, her style in my opinion, gets better every time.

Jumpsuits are perhaps one of the most difficult outfits to pull off, so i guess it helps that Sonam is 5'9 plus. But what i love is just how she carries herself, and looks so at ease...add to that the beautiful gold accessories and a statement clutch, just makes the overall look perfect. Effortless and chic!

Yves Saint Laurent Cruise 2010

It's nice to see Stefano Pilati introduce some colour into his latest collection...simply because i can't recall such bright colours being present in any of the recent ones!

The cruise collection for 2010, is refreshing and bounces of a very luxury meets comfort feel to it. The clothes may be slightly cheaper than those from the main collection, but each piece has a very timeless quality. So when the economy may not be doing so great, Stefano offers simple, classic yet statement pieces to push the gloominess away. Take for example the orange trench, that can be worn year round, or the green cocktail dress with its beautiful balloon sleeves.

See what i mean about luxury meets comfort......
Or how about some crisp tailoring with a classic white blazer or a balloon sleeved bolero which takes a little inspiration from a couture piece.....

To add a little twist to the collection and to give a bohemian feel to the overall look...prints, shells and earthly materials have been used to clash with the feminine cuts of the collection.
